In this class we will cover healthy cooking techniques as well as the best types of fats to use in your cooking, cuts of meat, and how to make your meals balanced and taste delicious. Healthy nutrition is fundamental to healthy living: this class will give you the skills you need to prepare nutritious, tasty meals for you, your friends and your family. All of the recipes we will learn can be cooked in bulk and stored in the freezer, to be pulled out and reheated on those days when you just don’t have time to cook dinner from scratch: much healthier (and cheaper) than a takeaway.
On the day we will learn how to batch cook a variety of dishes including braised lentils and smoky pulled chicken. Emma will teach you how to add additional flavour, variety and nutrition to your meals with sauces and seed toppings. To finish the day we will make a simple yet delicious chocolate mousse with a hidden ingredient, which boosts its nutritional profile.
For both skilled and beginner cooks, no previous experience is needed.
